I built social posting into my portfolio tool so it could publish its own buy signals — four platforms: X, Facebook Page, Threads, LinkedIn Page. The code took hours per platform. Getting permission — the LinkedIn API approval in particular — took weeks, and two of the four never sent a single request.

Three months ago I wrote up how Richfolio went from v1.0 to v1.6 — the guard pipeline, the two-stage Think/Plan prompt, the reasoning persistence, all of it borrowed from patterns I liked in OpenAlice. Richfolio is my AI portfolio monitoring system: a cron job that reads my holdings, asks two language models what to buy, and emails me a brief.

In November 2022, a cascade of news headlines told the story of FTX’s collapse in slow motion. Alameda’s balance sheet leaked on November 2nd. Binance announced it was dumping FTT on the 6th. By the 8th, withdrawal delays were making headlines. On the 11th, FTX filed for bankruptcy.

Another Year, Another Solo Jam

It’s Global Game Jam season again, and once again I found myself diving in solo. But this year was different – I had a new coding partner: Claude Code.

The theme for GGJ 2026 was “Mask”. While others might build games about literal masks – masquerades, disguises, hidden identities – I saw something different. What if the mask wasn’t on a person, but on an entire city? What if you had to “unmask” a fog-shrouded metropolis by exploring it?

That’s how Unmask the City was born.

When I participated in Global Game Jam 2025 with the theme “Bubble,” I wanted to create something familiar yet innovative. The result? Bubble 2048 – a twist on the classic 2048 puzzle game where tiles don’t just slide… they bubble up.

But here’s the thing: I didn’t finish it during the jam last year. Life got in the way, and the project sat incomplete for nearly a year. Then, just before Global Game Jam 2026 kicked off, I discovered Claude Code – and everything changed. What had been a frustrating tangle of animation bugs and timing issues became manageable. With Claude’s help debugging the animation system and refining the game logic, I finally completed what I’d started at GGJ 2025, just in time to approach this year’s jam with renewed confidence.
